The 29th Annual Snohomish Easter Parade will be held in downtown Snohomish on Saturday, April 11, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. The Parade is organized by the Snohomish Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by: Sunrise Senior Living; Rowdy Rascals Toy Store; Gilpin Realty, L & B Auto Repair. First Heritage Bank, Home Depot, Kirk Williams, Primary Residential Mortgage and The Carnegie Foundation. We invite you to join the fun at the only Easter Parade in Washington State where in honor of this being the 150th Anniversary of the founding of the City of Snohomish, this years Easter Parade theme will be Come Home Snohomish. The Easter Parade begins at 11:00 a.m. on First Street between Union Avenue and Avenue D. As always the Snohomish County Tribune's "Easter Bunny" will be welcoming our crowd to Snohomish.
Enter the Easter Bonnet Contest, (no age limit and pets are welcome). Sign Up is located at First Street and Avenue A beginning at 10:00 a.m. and judging starts immediately following the parade at that location. There is limited space on the Chamber Float for contestants to ride in the parade.
The Snohomish Ministry Network sponsors an Easter Egg Hunt at Harvey field, East of Highway 9 and West of the Airfield runway starting promptly at 9 a.m. 33,000 eggs await children 12 and younger. Children will be divided into age Groups.
Following the parade, noon to 3 p.m., there will be The Easter Bunny Fundraising Photo Shoot at Mardinis Restaurant, 101 Union Avenue, hosted by First Heritage Bank. Photos on CD cost is $10 with proceeds going to the March of Dimes, American Cancer Society, Junior Achievement and the Snohomish Education Foundation.
